FPPA 7th Annual Convention Highlights - March 14-16, 2004

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

The FPPA 7th Annual Convention recently concluded in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. FPPA members traveled south of the border this year to escape the wet, cold weather plaguing so much of the US. And they were not disappointed as Puerto Vallarta delivered warm, sunny weather with tropical breezes, an exciting downtown for shopping and dining, and escapes onto Banderas Bay for fishing and whale watching. Attendees agreed that this year's event was one of the best. The schedule brought a strong line-up of speakers, including the eight FPPA supplier members. The Richard Godfrey Best of Show Award was presented to two entries: Inland Paperboard & Packaging and Trinity Graphic USA

Technology Innovator of the Year - Agfa Corporation for its Sublima XM for Flexo screening technology. The technology combines the techniques of both AM (Amplitude Modulated) and FM (Frequency Modulated) screening to deliver a new generation of technology known as XM (Cross Modulated) screening.
