DuPont Packaging Graphics and Williamson Printing Materials Announce Distribution Agreement

DuPont Packaging Graphics has announced that effective Feb. 23, 2007, Williamson Printing Materials Limited, Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, will distribute its full line of flexographic products in Canada.

“We put a lot of thought into how we could enhance our support to the flexographic industry in Canada and we are thrilled that Williamson chose to join DuPont,” said Bob Zoelle, North American Packaging Graphics sales director. “We both see our role as advancing flexography and we both use science and technology to provide the best products, service and support possible.”

“The synergies resulting from the partnering of Williamson and DuPont will guarantee that the Canadian flexo market will be among the best served industries in the world,” said Williamson’s Chief Operating Officer Ross McCallum.

“DuPont leads the industry in innovation. They literally invented photopolymer printing plates and have continued to develop systems that are both cost effective and improve flexo print quality,” said Rick Schaus, sales manager, Williamson Printing Materials. “Canadian flexographers now can take advantage of a very powerful combination -- DuPont plates and systems and Williamson’s commitment to training, service and support.”

Serving the Canadian flexo market for almost 55 years, Williamson Printing Materials is the only supplier of its kind to offer a full capacity engineering department. “Our unique engineering abilities allow us to adapt technology and products to our customers’ specific requirements,” said Ron Schroder, technical services manager, Williamson Printing Materials. The company also offers a comprehensive training facility at its headquarters in Grimsby and specializes in custom-designed on-site customer training.
