State Alerts – Electricity Opportunities

Texas Businesses - Consider supplier options now

In Texas, Price to Beat rates will end December 2006. Texas businesses can lock in a price now to avoid significant cost increases—increases that will affect your bottom line. The time to act is now, before prices increase more! Texas rates have trended upwards for the past five years; with recent increases as high as 55 percent.

Take note that if you have an electricity contract expiring in 2006, you should contact APPI, even if you haven’t used APPI services in the past. Contact APPI several months prior to your contract end date to ensure that you get the lowest rate when your current contract expires.

Massachusetts Rate Increases Can Be Avoided

Recent news to hit the Massachusetts electricity market is substantial increases to electricity rates. Increases are as high as 119% for some companies. In order to avoid these increases, members are encouraged to contact APPI to learn about electricity supply alternatives that can be quickly implemented.

New York Electricity Opportunities Thrive

Businesses with New York locations have opportunities for electricity discounts. Many businesses are able to save 30 – 40 percent on the delivery portion of their electricity bill.
