FPPA's Sustainability Vision Statement:

"The vision is to advocate and communicate a positive environmental philosophy as it applies to the flexo plate making industry — supporting innovative manufacturing technologies and practices that promote environmental and economic health."

The 2009 Sustainability Achievement Award was presented to Mark/Trece Inc. for their use of a paper compactor/baler to control waste by recycling all paper, magazine, and corrugated scrap. The company benefited from fewer waste management pick-ups and they also receive payment for pre-baled bundles. The award was presented at the FPPA 12th Annual Convention in Tucson, Arizona.
